Pictures of Peru and new blog address

Hi folks!
Johnny and I are doing well on the beginning of our South American tour. We set up a separate blog at www.jbandmatt.blogspot.com, but it got tagged as being a spam site, so we´re trying to clear that up. I posted a few photos here to give you an idea of what we´ve been up to the last week or so. We´ll try to catch up with the blog soon (at the new site), and keep up with it as we go. We´re in Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Inca, near Machu Picchu. We have a fun day of hiking planned for tomorrow to an Incan site called Moray, with the big daddy of Machu Picchu coming up later in the week.
Keep in touch and read the hijinks that ensue in the next few weeks at our other blogsite (but give us a few more days to get it up and running).
Later!

Matt and John enroute to Islas Ballestas, off the coast of Pisco, Peru
Pisco was the town that was destroyed by an earthquake a couple years ago. It was interesting to be back in the (shambles of a) town -- even my hotel was gone! People seem to be rebuilding, and the birds out on the island were as numerous as always.

The candlabra - 15 meters tall in the dunes by the ocean near Paracas

a fuzzy picture from the bus driving through coastal Peru. There is no vegetation at all -- this is a ¨shanty¨town of plywood huts in the middle of the desert.
